VisaBuzz is a notification app that surfaces US visa appointment slot availability. It monitors community channels, classifies messages about appointment openings, and sends push notifications to your device when a slot matches your preferences. This document describes what data we collect, how we use it, and how to get it deleted.

1. What We Collect

• Account identifiers: the email address you sign up with (or your Google or Apple account email if you use social sign-in) and an internal user ID.
• Device push token: a token that allows us to deliver notifications to your specific device.
• Preferences: the cities, notification settings, silent hours, and other options you configure in the app.
• Alert history: metadata for slot alerts delivered to your account (source, timestamp, classification, and extracted details such as city, date, and time). No raw images or screenshots are stored against your account.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Determine which alerts to push to your device based on your preferences.
• Display your alert history within the app.
• Investigate and fix bugs (error reports may be temporarily tied to your user ID).

3. What We Never Do

• Sell your data.
• Share your preferences or alert history with third parties for marketing purposes.
• Use your data to train machine-learning models.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate VisaBuzz:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notification delivery
• Anthropic — message classification (your personal data is never sent to this service)
• Sentry — error tracking (retained for 30 days)

5. Deleting Your Data

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. Account deletion permanently removes all data associated with your account, including your alert history, preferences, device tokens, and notification logs. This action is irreversible. If you would like us to delete your account and associated data for you, email support@visabuzz.app with the subject line "Account Deletion Request."

6. Data Retention

• Your data (alerts, preferences, notification logs) is retained until you delete your account.
• Error tracking data in Sentry is automatically deleted after 30 days.
